A small collection of the papers of the Shillaber family of Danvers, Mass., including the account book of Robert Shillaber, a Danvers merchant, kept from 1791-1808 and misc. bills, receipts, verses, and other documents of Robert, Ebenezer, and other members of the Shillaber and related families. The collection also contains two volumes of subscription lists for the publication of Dr. Elisha K. Kane's "Arctic Explorations : The Second Grinnell Expedition in Search of Sir John Franklin, 1853, '54, '55" (Philadelphia: Childs and Peterson, 1856), probably gotten from 1855-56.
